-Introduction-

Congratulations on your employ with a seasoned alchemist. Alchemy is the skill of exploiting unique properties of certain plants, minerals, and creature parts, combining them to produce fantastic substances.

You will likely find many tireless nights of study, accompanying the exhilarating discovery of the sciences. Always refer to your superior in these first, trying days to avoid averse chemical reactions and injury. Study takes time, and the knowledge we can hope to achieve in a lifetime is but a drop in the great cosmos.

-Tools of the Trade-

For each type of concoction, you are required to have the appropriate tools for the job. Crafting potions and tonics require some Alchemist's Supplies or an Herbalism Kit, both of which can be purchased at an apothecary, or some general stores. The more familiar you are with the items in your arsenal, the more efficient you'll be in your undertakings.

This set of equipment includes beakers, mixing and measuring containers, and a miscellany of chemicals necessary for alchemical crafting. Proficiency with these tools allows you to extract more use from various ingredients. Most kits also contain:

-Alchemical glue
-Solvents
-Accelerators
-Defoliant
-Embalming fluid
-Marker dye
-Water purification sponge
-Acid neutralizer

-Time-
Learning the trade of alchemy takes time. Once you become more proficient in your craft, you will be able to produce a common vial of healing solution in as little as 10 minutes time. More complex solution can take a few hours, where some rare poultices need days to simmer. The craft ultimately comes down to patience and persistence.
