Tarj the Wise brought unto us the great knowledge of alchemy from beyond the stars. This great gift grants to us a deeper understanding of the secrets of the universe, by approaching that understanding through studies of the material world. The study of knowledge itself, the nature of what is known and knowable, is an important part of these holy traditions.
THE NATURE OF HERBALISM & ALCHEMY
All throughout Terra, there are various forms of plant life, ocean products, and even earthy substances that can be utilized and molded to great uses for society. Our world is a bountiful place amongst all of the terrains it has within itself. While there are some plants that only grow in certain regions, others grow almost everywhere.
Herbalism is the profession behind knowing of and gathering these types of items, and Alchemy is the profession behind extracting their potential and using the products they produce.
Due to the nature of this discipline and the study required to understand potions, an herbalist and alchemist must be constantly dedicated to his craft and focused on using the results for the good and glory of Tarj.
