The Flying City

As you enter this particular building, your feet crunch over dried, fallen plaster and years of dust. It appears to be a well stocked library, two stories tall. A few chairs lay askew on the floor, amongst tufts of grass emerging from cracks in the foundation. It is abuzz with the sounds of birds who are nesting in the great trees. Truly, this place has been long abandoned, for the trunks span the height of the room and poke through a crumbling hole in the ceiling.

The volumes you see on the shelves contain a great wealth of history, more than you've ever seen in any library on Terra. There are books going back thousands of years, their bindings and pages flaking to dust at the slightest touch. The weather has not been kind to these tomes.

A wooden bed is pushed against the wall, and a small table and chair reside in the corner. A single shelf of books is nailed to the wall beside the bed.

On further inspection, they are seemingly the more rare or important volumes of this library, kept safe from the elements. They are fragile from age, but do not waste away as easily. Very carefully, you peer inside of one...
