The Flying City

You walk on a soft carpet of mossy grass into the throne room. Two chairs sit at the far end of the hall, obviously for rulers, but simple and unadorned. Instead of rich decoration they were carved with delicate care, and the moss has grown up to make a cushion on each.

What catches your attention more though is a faint glow being emitted from a nearby chamber. You enter, as no doors bar your way. In this room there is no breeze, but it feels a good deal colder. The plant life seems to have stopped at the entry way.

Inside this chamber you find two glass coffins, side by side, with what is unmistakably a queen and a king resting peacefully in death together. They radiate a peaceful aura, and are unmistakably where the light is coming from. Etched in the wall behind them, reads:

QUEEN BYAKOMYUN RIVERWALKER THE BRIGHT
2 AR - 140 AR

KING VEON ARATO I THE VALIANT
140 AR - 158 AR

MAY YOUR SPIRITS CONTINUE TO GUIDE US AND PROTECT US FOR ETERNITY

The king is a lordly looking fellow of elven descent, with just the faintest of age upon his brow. Atop his silver-haired head rests a thin crystal crown. His hands are folded, clasped over the hilt of a beautiful silver sword that rests atop him, with a wedding band upon his finger that matches his queen's. He is dressed in pale blue robes with shimmering embroidery and a hooded fur robe. He has the presence of a soldier and a ruler.

Beside him the queen is dressed in similar attire, dark blue and be-speckled with snowflakes. They glisten in the light, almost as if they were real snow. However, you notice she is not elven, but neither is she fully human. She has similar features to Hikaru; soft blue fox ears peek out from her dark hair, and a blue tail is tucked elegantly next to her, blending with her fur robe. A crystal circlet of ice adorns her brow.

Between the two glass coffins is an icy blue metal chest. The top is designed with beautiful mountains and it feels chill to the touch, just like ice. There are iron bands to reinforce it, and where once was locks, a sort of cryptographer has been mounted in their place.
